By using FilingAlert ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

FilingAlert is a web-based tool that helps users track Companies House filing deadlines including confirmation statements and annual accounts. The Service retrieves data from the official Companies House Public Data API.

3. Companies House Data

All company data displayed by FilingAlert is sourced from the Companies House Public Data API and is subject to the Companies House terms of use. FilingAlert is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Companies House or HM Government.

4. API Key Responsibility

You are responsible for obtaining your own Companies House API key and for keeping it secure. FilingAlert stores your API key in your browser's local storage only and does not transmit it to our servers except when making proxied API calls on your behalf.

5. Accuracy of Information

While we strive to present accurate data, FilingAlert relies on the Companies House API for all company information. We cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of data provided. You should always verify critical compliance deadlines directly with Companies House.

6. Limitation of Liability

FilingAlert shall not be liable for any penalties, fines, or legal consequences arising from missed filing deadlines, inaccurate data, or service unavailability. The Service is provided as a convenience tool only and does not constitute legal or compliance advice.

7. Free and Paid Plans

FilingAlert offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are subject to additional terms which will be provided at the point of purchase. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

8. Prohibited Use

You may not use FilingAlert to:

• Scrape or bulk-harvest Companies House data in violation of their terms
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or copy the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the Service at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
